In response to these situations we have developed the telephone tutoring system. Using course material selected from our Weekend GRE Course, we discuss GRE concepts, problems, and techniques with you at your convenience. And since both the student and the instructor work off the same materials, describing the correct approach and appropriate diagramming is easy, and incredibly convenient. PowerScore one-on-one GRE telephone tutoring gives students the opportunity to work individually with one of our highly qualified instructors. Our tutors are the same people that teach our classes, and every tutor has scored in the 99th percentile on an ETS-administered GRE. The majority of telephone tutoring is done with either our PowerScore Weekend GRE Course book or ETS’s Practicing to take the GRE General Test, 10th Edition. When you first speak with your tutor, he or she will recommend materials that will provide you with the most organized and productive plan to help you reach your goal. In addition, all packages with 10 or more hours are automatically granted access to our Tutoring Student Online Area, which contains arithmetic and verbal primers, additional concept discussions, and general test-taking tips. Certain telephone tutoring packages also include the 200+ page PowerScore GRE Weekend Course book and ETS’s Practicing to take the GRE General Test, 10th Edition, which are our preferred tutoring materials.

PowerScore offers GRE telephone tutoring at the rate of $70 per hour. Most of our competitors do not offer this valuable service, but for comparison, examine our competitors' in-person tutoring rates, and you will see that our services are not only less expensive but far superior in quality. And, unlike other companies, we do not require you to purchase large amounts of tutoring up front. Whether you need ten hours of tutoring or just one hour, we will be able to accommodate your needs without difficulty.

Whenever you are ready to get started, simply give us a call or purchase hours online. Once we receive your tutoring request, we will have an instructor contact you within two business days from your initial request. During your preliminary conversation with your tutor, you will discuss when to speak, how long each session will last, what you would like to work on, and what materials will be necessary to make the tutoring as effective as possible. After speaking with the tutor assigned to you, if you feel like you and the tutor do not mesh for any reason, we can arrange for another tutor to work with you.

Telephone Tutoring Packages

In addition to our open-ended tutoring program, we offer several packages for students interested in 5 or more hours, and each package offers students a significantly reduced rate from the open-ended rate of $100 per hour. In addition to a lower rate per hour for tutoring, students also receive our preferred tutoring material with each package.

PowerScore telephone tutoring packages are designed for students who know they need plenty of time with a tutor and do not want to worry about adding more hours each time they would like to work with their tutor. Whatever your specific GRE requirements may be, PowerScore has a tutoring program to help you!
