About PowerScore

PowerScore was founded in 1997 by renowned test preparation expert Dave Killoran. Based on his extensive experience in the test preparation industry, Dave knew that there was a more effective and less costly way to help students succeed on standardized tests. His efforts resulted in PowerScore—a company that annually helps tens of thousands of students around the world prepare for their LSAT, GMAT, GRE, ACT, and SAT exams.

Because of the exceptional preparation we offer, we have become one of the nation's largest test preparation companies. This growth has not altered the company's original goal—to maintain the highest standards in the test preparation industry and offer the best possible classes for the most reasonable value. Your future is important, and we want to help you succeed.

What we stand for as a company is embodied in four core values. They form the foundation of our company and drive us daily:

  1. Deliver the best test preparation imaginable
  2. Connect with every customer and provide killer service
  3. Hire the best employees and give them the power to help and to solve problems
  4. Create a casual work environment that is friendly, fun, and professional

Instead of explaining our values using meaningless marketing-speak, we will let the words of the people who work here tell the story. These are the people who you'll talk to on the phone when you call, who develop our courses, who hire our instructors, and who schedule our classes—they are PowerScore, and we thought you'd like to hear what they have to say about working here.

"Unlike many of our competitors, we don't just hire our instructors based on a set of minimal guidelines. Everyone knows our instructor score requirement is among the highest in the industry, 170 or higher percentile on a real exam but, just as importantly, our instructors are intensely interviewed and picked for their dynamic teaching styles and enthusiastic personalities. What's the point of having an intellectual superstar as a teacher if they put you to sleep after the first ten minutes? If you are going to be spending hours and hours listening to someone speak, shouldn't it be someone you would actually want to be in a room with?"

“When students first call us, we answer their questions in a friendly and engaging manner. But the service doesn’t end with that first phone call, and that’s what I love so much about PowerScore! We are there to help students through every step of their test preparation and admissions journey. This is reflected by the high-quality instructors we hire, the free assistance we provide on our website and forums, and the top-notch course and book resources we offer. It’s a pleasure to work for a company that prides itself in exceptional customer service!”

"We value our students as customers, and unlike some other companies, PowerScore focuses on exceptional customer service. Where else can you call an 800 number and speak directly to a live person after only 1 or 2 rings? I know our company is customer-centric because I live it everyday!"
Wesley Ladomirak
"I know better than any other employee that PowerScore rewards initiative and creativity. While many companies quash an employee's opportunity to contribute outside of their job description, PowerScore actively seeks employees with vision and the drive to achieve that vision."

"I am proud to work at PowerScore for a number of reasons. Not only do I take pride in what I do, so do all of my co-workers.  It is refreshing to work with a bunch of individuals who, across the board, are friendly, dedicated and so willing to help one another. We're an eclectic group (to say the least!), but the common thread is that we all care about what we do.  We all really do put our best efforts into providing personalized customer service and putting out the best test prep products available anywhere!
